The name 'Skull Kid' was originally derived from the Computer game 'Zelda, Ocarina of Time'. Skull Kid lived in a clearing in the Lost Woods. It was said that when a child went into the Lost Woods and actually got lost, they would turn into 'a child of the forest', a Skull kid.
